About Shree MP Shah Arts & Science College
On 21st September 1955, the bedrock was laid with the hands of le. General Maharaja Digvijaysinh Jadeja. The college started functioning in 1956. The name Surendranagar was conferred after the independence of India. Before that, the area was known as Wadhawan Camp. At that time Halwad, Wankaner, Dhangdhra, Botad, Ranpur, etc. were not facilitated with higher education, so the efforts of both the contributors are highly appreciable.
